Brotherhood and Boxing: My Journey with Hermosa Boxing Camp

In April 2022, I took a chance detour and found myself at Hermosa Boxing Camp, a hidden gem on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast. What began as a quick stop to add mitt work to Juiseppe Cusumano’s strength and conditioning program turned into a transformative journey. Under the guidance of Coach Pancho Spangenberg, I witnessed raw talent and a level of grit that reminded me what true dedication looks like. From building bonds with local fighters and driving long, winding coastal roads, to helping launch Hermosa Boxing Promotions, this experience shaped me in ways I could never have imagined. It was a journey filled with intense bouts, unforgettable moments, and an evolving community that pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the sport of boxing.
