GARETH MCCLOSKEY
Welcome to FARMERSTRENGTH® from Our Founder
I'm Gareth McCloskey, founder of FARMERSTRENGTH®, built on Functional Strength, Conditioning, Mobility, and Breathwork for athletes of all ages. It started on my grandparents' farm in Ireland and grew through years coaching fighters in Costa Rica. This is that same work, brought to Danbury.
PARTNERING WITH PARKINSON'S CHAMPIONS
In 2018 my father Paul, received the life-altering diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease. When I founded FARMERSTRENGTH®, my mission was clear: to leverage my company as a platform for raising awareness about Parkinson’s Disease and contributing to the Parkinson’s Foundation. This cause holds special significance as it resonates with the memory of the legendary Muhammad Ali, who battled the same affliction. With recent scientific findings, highlighting the benefits of non-contact boxing for Parkinson’s patients, it seemed only fitting that I play a role in this fight.
In the first half of 2022, I embarked on a mission to make a difference. Running 150 miles over 30 days which included the David Goggins 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours challenege, I managed to raise nearly $2,300 for the Parkinson’s Foundation, thanks to the support of compassionate individuals like you.
