This document defines the minimum standard required of any athlete training with, competing for, or publicly associated with FARMERSTRENGTH®.
These standards are conditions of association, not guidelines. Failure to meet them may result in immediate removal from training, competition, events, or representation.
1. ZERO TOLERANCE: Drugs, Prohibited Substances & Abuse
FARMERSTRENGTH® operates under a zero-tolerance policy for drug use.
This includes, without exception:
• Performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs)
• Any substances listed on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List
• Prescription medications used without legitimate medical necessity
• Prescription medications used recreationally or to enhance performance
• Street drugs of any kind
• Any substance abuse that compromises judgment, conduct, safety, or integrity
There are no gray areas.
By associating with FARMERSTRENGTH®, athletes are considered to have declared that:
• They do not use prohibited substances
• They accept full responsibility for everything placed in their body
• “Unintentional use” or ignorance is not an acceptable defense
Prescription Disclosure Requirement
Any medically prescribed substance that could impact performance, testing status, or conduct must be disclosed in advance. Disclosure does not imply approval. Failure to disclose is considered non-compliance.
FARMERSTRENGTH® reserves the absolute right to remove an athlete from training or competition, terminate association immediately, and publicly disassociate from the athlete if necessary.
No warnings. No negotiations. No exceptions.
2. Alcohol Policy
Alcohol is legal. Alcohol during competition preparation is not.
During any defined competition preparation period, alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.
Alcohol during preparation impairs recovery and sleep, disrupts hormonal balance, increases injury risk, and weakens discipline and decision-making. These effects are incompatible with elite performance.
Outside of a preparation period, alcohol use is strongly discouraged. Any use that negatively impacts training, recovery, conduct, or public representation will be addressed.
At any FARMERSTRENGTH®-related event, regardless of preparation status, athletes must be sober. No visible intoxication and no alcohol-related conduct that reflects poorly on the brand will be tolerated.
3. Competition Preparation Period: Definition & Authority
A competition preparation period is any time an athlete is engaged in structured training with the intent to compete.
This period typically begins 8–12 weeks prior to the scheduled event, but may begin earlier based on training structure, athlete goals, or representation of FARMERSTRENGTH®.
Intent—not paperwork—determines enforcement.
FARMERSTRENGTH® coaching staff reserves sole authority to declare the start of a preparation period, extend preparation standards beyond typical timelines, and enforce all competition standards at any time an athlete is training or appearing as a competing athlete.
The determination of preparation status is final and not subject to debate.
4. Morning Discipline: Ownership of the Day
Competing athletes are expected to start each day with intent and structure.
Morning discipline may include, where prescribed:
• Fasted cardio
• Road work or running
• Swimming
• Cycling (road, stationary, or air bike)
• Early-morning training completed before external distractions
• Nasal breathing when appropriate
The modality is secondary. Consistency, intent, and discipline are the standard.
Skipping prescribed morning discipline without approval is considered non-compliance.
5. Nutrition as a Performance Requirement
Nutrition is a performance variable, not a lifestyle preference.
Athletes are expected to eat with purpose, follow prescribed nutrition guidelines, and eliminate emotional, impulsive, or inconsistent eating.
Advanced athletes are expected to use objective data when available to accurately determine dietary needs, supplementation, and recovery requirements.
Poor nutrition is considered non-compliance, not misfortune.
6. Strength Training Compliance
Strength training is structured, progressive, and deliberate.
Athletes are expected to follow the prescribed strength program exactly, respect load, volume, intensity, and recovery, and track progress consistently.
Random training, skipped sessions, or unsanctioned modifications are unacceptable.
7. Conditioning Standards
Conditioning is mandatory.
Athletes are expected to develop a strong aerobic base, build anaerobic capacity, and meet sport-specific conditioning demands.
Avoidance of conditioning is not tolerated.
8. Meditation & Breathwork
Nervous system regulation is part of performance.
Athletes are expected to practice breathwork regularly, use meditation to improve focus and emotional control, and learn to down-regulate after training and competition.
Mental instability is a performance liability.
9. Goal Setting & Accountability
Competing without clearly defined goals is irresponsible.
Athletes must establish short- and long-term goals, review goals regularly, and align daily behaviors with stated objectives.
When actions and goals conflict, accountability lies with the athlete.
10. Family & Community Conduct
Athletes are expected to maintain respect for family, contribute positively to their community, and represent FARMERSTRENGTH® with integrity and maturity.
Disrespectful conduct or behavior that damages relationships or community trust is unacceptable.
11. Recovery Is Mandatory
Recovery is an active discipline.
Athletes are expected to utilize appropriate recovery methods when available, including cold exposure or ice baths, sauna, red light therapy, float tanks for nervous system recovery, and compression therapy.
Ignoring recovery increases injury risk and undermines adaptation.
12. Sleep Is Non-Negotiable
Sleep is a primary performance driver.
Athletes are expected to maintain consistent sleep schedules, create environments conducive to quality sleep, and achieve sufficient nightly sleep based on training demands.
Chronic sleep deprivation is unacceptable.
13. Mental Health & Stress Responsibility
Mental toughness does not mean suppression.
Athletes are expected to monitor stress levels, communicate when overwhelmed, and take responsibility for mental health practices.
Unmanaged stress leads to injury, burnout, and poor decision-making.

Final Statement
FARMERSTRENGTH® is not designed for casual participation.
This environment is for athletes who choose discipline over convenience, integrity over shortcuts, and responsibility over excuses.
If any portion of this standard feels excessive, restrictive, or unreasonable, this is not the appropriate program or association for you.

The standard is clear.
The expectations are known.
