About Me

Greetings, I am Gareth McCloskey, the proud founder of FARMERSTRENGTH™ a small business dedicated to the refinement of Functional Strength, Conditioning, Mobility, Breath Work and Sports Apparel, catering to athletes of all ages. The birth of FARMERSTRENGTH™ in 2020 goes back to my cherished childhood days spent on my grandparents farm in Ireland, where the seeds of this venture were sown.

In 2021, I embarked on a transformative journey to Costa Rica. There, I engaged in a deeply fulfilling mission, dedicating my time to nurturing the potential of promising young athletes at Boxeo Quepos and Hermosa Boxing Camp. Simultaneously, I continued my enduring commitment to empowering youth in the USA, providing virtual volunteer support to the Richmond Boxing Club in Virginia.

Nestled amidst the lush Costa Rican jungle, I conduct rigorous fitness camps, and have worked with  Professionals such as Juiseppe Cusumano, Jamaine Ortiz, Vincenzo Carita, Omar Bordoy Jr, Josiyah Giles, Justin Sotelo, Ziggy Myrie and Efrain Urena among others. I have served as Cusumano’s Conditioning Coach for a steadfast two-year period, aiding in him in a triumphant comeback following a challenging setback in 2021. I’ve had the privelage of being part of teams and gaining valuable experience as a second during major boxing matches at renowned venues, including Madison Square Garden in New York City, the Rocket Mortgage Field House in Cleveland, Ohio and the BN Arena in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The overarching mission of FARMERSTRENGTH™ is to facililitate the reconnection of individuals with their intrinsic strength, fostering an ancestral bond with nature that encompasses the mind, body and soul.

Since the majority of my work is centered around volunteering, the vitality and expansion of my business are predominantly reliant on the sales of FARMERSTRENGTH™ merchandise. When you choose to purchase our merchandise, you directly contribute to my mission of fostering youth development and cultivating a brand that embodies the fundamental principles of hard work and perseverance.

A significant facet of our ethos involves giving back to society. Therefore, I pledge that all proceeds from the sale of our Parkinson’s Disease t-shirts will be donated to the Parkinsons’s Disease Foundation. This cause holds personal significance, as my father, Paul, residing in Ireland, is fighting this disease. It is my passionate belief that through my company we can play a vital role in advancing the fight against this debilitating illness.
